Pays de la Loire – Château of Chenonceau

Château of Chenonceau, one of the most well-known Châteaux of the Loire Valley, is also my most favourite château in this trip.

The château was built on the foundations of an old mill and was later extended to span the River Cher, particularly photogenic with its reflection in the water of the river…

…a tour inside the château reveals numerous furnished and exceptionally decorated rooms containing an extraordinary collection of Renaissance furniture and paintings, and antique tapestries…

…impressed by the old kitchen in the Château, it features a wonderful collection of antique copper kettles and pots.  A massive wood-burning stove and a built-in oven can be found in the palace kitchen…

…Chenonceau also has a farm, where you can see little ducks playing around basins, lots kind of fruits and vegetables, especially  beautiful flowers which provides daily flower arrangements for the château…
